There are various options to get a whiter smile and our expert dentists will make recommendations on a case by case basis.

Should I invest in teeth whitening?

Teeth Whitening is the easiest and simplest cosmetic procedure on the market, and the effect it can have on your smile is dramatic! You can whiten your smile by up to 8 shades in a single treatment.

A whitened smile appears clean and healthy and restores the natural beauty hidden beneath staining and discolouration. Discoloured teeth are a common problem and can result from many diet and lifestyle preferences, like drinking coffee, tea, or soft drinks or using tobacco products, for example. Teeth can even become discoloured from age or certain medications. Our skilled cosmetic dentists have experience helping restore her patients’ smiles through teeth whitening treatments.

What Kind of Teeth Whitening Treatment is Best for Me?

We are proud to offer our patients options for the teeth whitening services that work with their schedules and personal preferences.

Home Teeth Whitening Kits – If you prefer to whiten your teeth from the comfort of your own home, our custom take-home kits are a perfect choice. With our take-home kits, you can comfortably achieve a whiter smile while doing household chores or even relaxing in front of the television.

Chair-side whitening treatment - This is a bleaching process that lightens the dentin and enamel of the teeth. It contains a hydrogen peroxide component (25%), which is the active ingredient in the gel. When we apply hydrogen peroxide, the peroxide breaks down into small oxygen bubbles which remove the stains. We then use a special light to activate the product and speed up the whitening process.

As with any whitening system, the post-treatment results can vary according to the degree of staining and the condition of the teeth. A consultation with the dentist before treatment will provide information as to what kind of results you can expect. We can only apply this whitening treatment can to healthy teeth and gums, so if tooth decay or gum disease is an issue, we need to control these before the bleaching treatment.
